So can anyone confirm that it works on a 2014 M/T?

Also Gary do you have a picture of your set up? I was wondering if i could power both device from a dual cigarette lighter port. Have you tried that?

If you just wanted something interesting to display on the video screen you could use a Rasberry Pi (composite video out built in) and show OBDII. OBD-Pi: Raspberry Pi Displaying Car Diagnostics (OBD-II) Data On An Aftermarket Head Unit
My Raspberry Pi has been gathering dust lately, this looks like a much easier setup. I'm wondering how easy it is to customize the gauges on the Pi to my liking. I'll see if I can do it this weekend and post up my results, the only stuff I need are the keyboard and a USB bluetooth adapter (I really only need the bluetooth adapter but I like that compact keyboard).

Try to rest the headunit

After entering code 90019001.. Mine says "Driving Regulation Mode: PARKING" is that what it should say after running the video enabler batch file?
Yes that's correct. Basically your car will now think it's always in park mode, meaning you can watch video while driving.

^^^ That would be awesome! It would be even better if we could get an app like torque installed so we could add/change the gauges on the display.

Help, I cannot access testmode by pressing info/setup after I tried the hack...Any input on this?
This is exactly what happened to mine. I can no longer access Windows CE. The last successful step I took was to run your .bat file. Have you made any progress on this issue Heilo or Gary? I'm pretty disappointed right now.

Got mine working today. Qualitys 80-90% but theres no sound =/. I feel like there might be a bit lag too. anyone experience this?

Assuming you're using a converter, this is normal (quality and lag). As for the no sound, this has happened to me twice, assuming there's no problem with the converter or device you're using to stream, it likely just needs a restart. Sometimes sound would just not register. I'd try using the setup you're using on a television to test sound. If there's no sound even on your TV, I'd say hardware issue.

I've been using a WD Live to stream videos, music, Spotify, Youtube, whatever you want.

Since the device has a built in RCA plug, there's no need for a converter so the video quality is pretty damn good and there's the bonus of no lag.

I've been using my phone as a WiFi hotspot since I have tons of data per month, depending on the app you use, the quality (56kbps to 320kbps) will obviously determine your data usage. I just drove from Ottawa to New Jersey (back and forth) streaming the entire way and it was awesome, access to all my different playlists from Spotify, and able to have Spotify streaming while using the NAV in the car. For nightime driving, you can set the screen saver to be a dark screen so you can continue listening to your music while sorta having the head unit look like it's off! I had the box tucked in under the AUX port, but you can also have it hidden away in the center console.

The remote control included is pretty basic IR, so you can't really use it while it's in the center console (you just have the pop the top open and aim down with the remote basically) so that's why I had it under the AUX port, but if you plan on just play and forget, I'd say center console is fine.

IF your data goes out or you lose LTE signal, the box just goes in standby until it gets connection back and will resume playing whenever it connects again (this is AWESOME!)

Also has two USB slots so if you have a massive HD or USB stick that the head unit can't recognize, you can just stream through the box instead :) With the benefit of having either a blank screen or a custom wallpaper / screensaver if you don't care to see artist/song info or whatever (you can always turn off screensaver if you so desire)

Anyways, I very much recommend this type of setup if any of this seems appealing to you.

Ask away if you want me to test anything or if you have any questions regarding this setup, or want more pictures of size of box / where it fits and how.

***If you don't have data / don't want to waste your data, you can still use the box in offline mode, although obviously services/ apps will be limited to local storage (which is both music and video)***

You sure can :) I've downloaded a bunch of videos on it, put on shuffle and auto/repeat and you're good to go!
